Publication Ethics

Sadewa: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is a peer-reviewed journal. The journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in dealing with all aspects of publication ethics and how to handle cases of research and publication violations. This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing articles in this journal, including the authors, editor-in-chief, editorial board, peer-reviewers and publishers (dr. Soebandi University).

Sadewa: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dedicated to following best practices on ethical issues, errors, and revocations. The prevention of publication malpractices is one of the important responsibilities of the editorial board so that any kind of unethical behavior is unacceptable and the journal does not tolerate plagiarism of any kind.

Sadewa: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat adapting COPE to meet high-quality ethical standards for publishers, editors, authors, and reviewers. As an important issue, publication ethics need to be clearly explained to improve the quality of research around the world. In this section, we describe the standards for editors, writers, and reviewers. The publisher has no right to interfere with the integrity of the content and only supports timely publishing.

For Editors
1. The Editor must be responsible for every article published in the Journal of Health Community Service.
2. The editor should help the author to follow the instructions for the author that we adopted from the ICMJE.
3. Editors can communicate with other editors or reviewers in making final decisions.
4. Editors should objectively evaluate manuscripts for publication, judging each one based on its quality regardless of the applicant's nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation. Editors should decline their assignment when there is a potential conflict of interest.
5. Editors need to make sure the document sent to the reviewer does not contain author information.
6. The editor and all staff must ensure the confidentiality of the submitted manuscript.

For Reviewers
1. Reviewers need to comment on ethical questions and possible violations of research and publications.
2. Reviewers will do the work on time and must notify the editor if they are unable to complete the work.
3. Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript.
4. Reviewers should not accept to review manuscripts where there is a potential conflict of interest between them and one of the authors.

For Authors
1. The Author confirms that the material has never been published before and that they do not transfer any rights to the article elsewhere.
2. The Authors must ensure the originality of the work and they have correctly cited the work of others according to the reference template.
3. The Authors must not engage in plagiarism or self plagiarism.
4. Authors must ensure that they follow the authorship criteria taken from Sadewa: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat described in the instructions for the author in Sadewa: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat.
5. Authors may not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Authors are also expected not to publish redundant manuscripts or manuscripts describing the same research in more than one journal.
6. Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. Other people who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The author also ensures that all authors have viewed and approved the submitted version of the manuscript and the inclusion of their name as co-authors.
7. The authors do not suggest any personal information that could make the patient's identity recognizable in the form of any description section, photograph, or genealogy.
8. The author must provide the editor with data and details of the work, if there is a suspicion of falsification of the writing or falsification of the data.
9. If at any time, the author finds a significant error or inaccuracy in the submitted manuscript, then such error or inaccuracy must be reported to the editor.
10. Journal authors should clarify everything that could give rise to conflicts of interest such as employment, research fees, consultant fees, and intellectual property on the form disclosure document Sadewa: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat
